Delta GM flying Conti - FC?
 
I've read through quite a few threads but can'tget my exact question answered. I am Delta GM and will be flying Conti from PIT->IAH->SNA on 9/21. Will I be able to get on the upgrade list, or is my only hope a confused gate agent?

I also flew PIT-> DTW-> MCI on NW and was upgraded 3 days out with my Delta status for DTW-> MCI, on 9/3

DL owns NW, and they upgrade elites on both carriers for that reason.

CO and DL (to the best of my knowledge) have never upgraded each other's elites. AFAIK, the former NW/CO upgrade agreement no longer exits (see above).

Your best bet -- hope for a confused gate agent, but don't bet on it. Like DL, CO has an automatic upgrade of its own eiltes.

There are no complimentary reciprocal upgrade benefits between CO and DL.

There are such upgrades between CO and NW for a few weeks more, until CO leaves SkyTeam.

No to CO FC (unless you get the confused agent). DL and CO don't upgrade each other's elites. CO may still upgrade NW elites, but I'm not sure.

Upgrades on NW metal for DL elites (and vv) has been going on now for many months. Nothing unusual there.

Only through the end of the month.

To the OP you've got no chance unless it is a full Y fare and everyone else who is possibly eligible - including paper certs - has already been upgraded. Enjoy the seat in Y.

That clears it up, thanks. Just waiting till Conti gets on Star then I'll be good to go.
