Meals in 1st vs. miles flown criteria??
Question I have is I fly regularly from MSP-DCA (932 miles) and
its a 1pm departure and always have had a lite lunch (2 choices). Recently flew from Atlanta to Grand Cayman (GCM) in 1st; Departure 10:15am and return from GCM to ATL is 1:20pm and nothing is offered but peanuts and pretzels: (1036 miles). I have flown this over the past several years and nothing else has been offered. Can someone provide the link for the DL meal hrs and miles required etc. Concluding comment: Flew ATL-SAN last Saturday 9:25 pm flight=4.5 hrs and same as the Grand Cayman flights... of course we know DL doesn't provide anything after 8pm. |

There are also some flights that are apparently exceptions...I too did not get meals in first class to the Caribbean (LGA-NAS). I have no idea why even though the flight was eligible.
And flights like LGA/EWR/JFK-ATL get meals even though its 761 miles for competitive reasons. |
