DL & Budget no longer partners?
 

I gave my SM# along with the 4x miles promo code to a Budget phone rep but the SM# didn't show on my rental (the coupon code did). I asked an ORD Budget counter person to put the missing # but she says DL was not listed as one of the options on her screen. I ended up giving her my UA # just to get something out of the situation.

Have DL & Budget sever their partnership in the last few days or did I just happen to run into an incompetent rental agent?

Budget is still listed as a SkyMiles partner.

And there has been recent success reported getting a 3K bonus for a 1-day rental in this thread. The ORD rep was mistaken.

not all Budget stations participate in all Budget promotions. Generally, all of the ones owned by Budget do, but there are many other Budget stations out there that are franchise operations and often do not participate. I do not know the case of ORD, but SAN pretty much never participates in any of the Budget promotions... So it might really be hit and miss if you get something for a Budget rental or not. And finding out what Budget locations are corporate locations seems to be black art.
