Gold Card and Free 52K Miles, deal?
Greetings everyone. I received an offer from Delta in the mail to get a Gold Skymiles American Express card and have no idea what/how skymiles operate. So I am doing some research and saw this great forum.
I have been considering getting a miles card for some time. Anyway my question is: Is 52,000 miles for joining a good deal? I dont know what that would even get me to be honest. I live in San Diego too, travel maybe once or twice a year so I don't know if miles are worth having. Any thought or places to seek further info appreciated, How miles work, what buys what, etc. Thanks! |
Devil is in the Detail !
i received the same/similar today - it reads:
25,000 = new amex gold card 25,000 = after charging $10,000 on the card 2,500 = registering another user's name on the card |

52,000 miles for getting a new card and spending only $10K is a great deal in my opinion. Just a couple of caveats:
1) 10K of the 52K will probably be due to your $10K in charging 2) if you ever had a DL AmEx and got bonuses, your 52K will be reduced by the number of miles you got previously John |
What is the yearly fee?

Would someone who got this offer care to share the RSVP code for it? (There should be some special offer/promo id/code printed on the mail on that.)
