Help: Over $1k in expiring bump vouchers

I have a friend who has over 1k in bump vouchers expiring in about a week.

With these new electronic vouchers can you play the "buy a refundable ticket" game?

Is there anyway to park some or all of the value somewhere?

I'd go the refundable ticket route. Find and purchse refundable ticket(s) closest in value to the value of the vouchers. Cancelling that ticket should produce a new voucher(s) with a new expiration date of one year from the new date of purchase.

Agreed. I've done this before. I just bought a Y (or perhaps F in your friend's case) ticket for 1 year from the expiration date. When ready to use, a simple reissue was all it took. I believe the only issue is that whoever the ticket is purchased for is who will have to use the voucher, at least the first time. A fully unused e-ticket is not transferable, but after you reissue the ticket and have remaining value, it again becomes an e-credit and is transferable.
