PM and FF Miles?

Just curious is it easier to use your FF miles if you are a PM compared to GM or SM?

We did some tests over on the NW board and it did show a slight advantage based on higher status. A major advantage to a non-elite for sure. Has anyone here on the DL board done a simulation? It is easy enough to do...just need several different elite levels to log in and go after the same awards to see what comes back. Obviously it can not be done at the same time or you will affect availability so as soon as one person is done the next logs in.

Made quite a difference for me yesterday. Typed in my info and got two flight options, both at 600a. Realized I forgot to check the I am Travelling on this Itin box, went back, started search again, and all of a sudden there were 7 choices available, with a much better 1220p departure time.
