SilverM upgraded on NW metal with 2 days to go?

SilverM upgraded on NW metal with 2 days to go?
Couldn't find this in Delta or NW FAQ ... I was surprised to find out that I was moved up since it's still 2 days to go till the flight. I am just a lowly Silver medallion and didn't expect to have my chance until the day before. Do the upgrade rules on NW and DL differ somehow? The flight is DTW-MCO.

NW upgrades often upgrade a day early. Plat=6 day, Gold=4 day, Silver=2 day.

Thanks Jaimito. I had the same question. All of a sudden my upgrade % has gone up to about 75%. Don't know why, but I'll take it.
