BEst use for miles

I was curious to see what others felt would be the best use for 400K miles.

It seems that I really don't have anywhere Delta could take my family for a trip that we need to go to. Does Delta allow for the use of the miles for hotels and such?

What would you do with 400K miles?

Thanks

IMO the best use of 400k miles would be 4 SkySaver (or whatever the term is these days) BE tix.

Low Redemption Business Elite award tickets to international destinations (which are 100,000 miles).

+1. I use 99.999999% of my miles on Low Tier (sky saver like) BE tix. This is generally the best use for miles in my opinion. YMMV.

100K for Trans-Atlantic BE saver.... ie Europe.

120K for Tran-Pacific BE saver..... ie Asia (Japan, China, etc).

And 150K for Australia BE saver..... ie Sydney

Truly international BE saver awards are by far the best use of miles, based on cost per mile used.

On the other hand, if you have last minute domestic trips to take where the last minute ticket price is very high and a saver award (whether economy or first class) is available, that also can be a good use of the miles.

Well, the real best use is for a Biz RTW award. I know for NW it's 220k, I think DL's version is 280k?

I did one of these in 2006, and hit 6 continents in 11 months. Over 50k flight miles.

Using miles for hotel or a cruise

I recall in the old days AA had a way to pay for AAvacations using miles.

I looked around the delta site and could not find anything besides tickets.

Am I missing something?

You might be able to buy magazines with them. I'm not sure about any vacations, but if you could, I doubt you'd get a good value out of them.

Have you even looked on the DL site?

Medallion Marketplace

OK

Thanks

I found the Medallion Marketplace

https://www.medallionmarketplace.com/ip-skymiles/

Looks like points are valued at Medallion Marketplace at 1/2 cent per point.
