Meals served in Business Class to Mexico?
 

Does DL serve any meals in business class on flights between the US and Mexico? Or is it just the standard snack basket? The flight is ATL-GDL, just under 4 hrs.

In my experience since the roll out of coordinated 'domestic' catering, they are quite serious about the 1550+ mile criterion.

You get a cold sandwich, though they list it "Dinner" service. No ovens on MD88s, ATL-GDL.

A welcome-aboard mimosa is sometimes offered.

It used to be a much different level of service, with choice of hot entrees, a menu and all the bells and whistles.

Allow extra time coming back for the planeside security check prior to a short shuttle bus trip. DL planes do not use jetways, although GDL is a modern, well-run airport. (CO and AA, the same)

Looks like the flight switches from an MD-88 with Dinner service to a E-175 with "None" listed for meal service. That doesn't mean there isn't a meal on the RJ.

And I always respect a crew that lands at 10p, navigates immigration, shuttles 45 minutes to the Intercontinental hotel and has to be back for the 7am return flight.

ATL-MEX serves salad, hot main course, and desert from a menu (with 2 main course choices). I'm not sure if it's Domestic F fare or a limited selection from the BE menu, but it was a pleasant surprise seeing that the flight is 1331 miles and 3:29. Full hot meal service and Sky Club access means you get a lot perks for a Medallion upgrade at the window.

The hot meal service won't apply to GDL due to the MD88 equipment, but the rest should be similar.
