777LR JFK-TLV Equipment

Thursday's flight from JFK-TLV (#86) is the first flight on the 777LR....any clue where this equipment is coming from?

Not sure where it could come from unless it is a equipment upgrade from ATL

Any difference in Y between the LR and the ER?

That's a bit odd. on FRIDAY there is a 777 going ATL-JFK to get the ship there. As the only 777 service ex-JFK the planes will circulate via TLV so they will go ATL-TLV-JFK-TLV-ATL until NRT comes online.

Could you clarify the NRT schedule? I was just booted off the 777ER for Oct/Nov and moved to the 744. The LR would be great for the 15 hour outbound.

That part acutlaly makes sense because Friday's JFK-TLV flight will be the first 777ER being used, so they've got to get the 777ER to JFK....

Right But no idea where the ER is coming from either. Since the 777's are only ex-ATL at the moment, it should be flown up to JFK but I would have assumed it would have been in revenue service but that's not how things look at the moment.

I don't follow what you're saying...the ER is being flown up from ATL on Friday. Arrvies JFK at 4:30PM and can be used on the 830PM flight to TLV.

Yes, I do. We have schedules for JFK-NRT sometime on June 2009. It will be on operated 777ER aircraft.

Thanks ... wish ATL-NRT would come along.

Part of the Fall/winter international capacity cuts - ATL-NRT will be down to 1x daily on the NW 744. The extra DL 777 will continue on ATL-NRT 4x weekly through the summer.

Ship 7107 will position to JFK either on 5/20 or 5/21 to operate the DL86 JFK-TLV.

As for ER vs. LR economy class, the seats and AVOD are different. Both cabins are 3-3-3 configuration. The ER uses the eFX system while the LR uses the more advanced eX2 system (with larger screens 9"). The LR seats are the Weber seats with winged headrests (similar to those found on the 757"ER" and the 737-700/800).

Hence, the selection of movies on the LR is also larger (over 150 movies) versus about 20-30 on the ER...

What kind of seats do the ER's have (no winged headrests?)?

N301DQ May 19, 2009 1:34 pm

The ER coach seats are identical to the former Song seat + a winged headrest. The same coach seat is installed in the 767-400ER.

767-400ER/777-200ER Seats:
