Who Were the Trusted Voices When You First Came to the Delta Forum?
Remember when you first started posting on FT in the Delta Forum? I was thinking about this the other day and noticed that very few of the people I used to always see on this board are here anymore. Made me a bit sentimental really. I actually looked forward to the postings of a lot of these folks.
From memory I think about...
mikey1003 (is kinda back with the NW merger)
bdschobel (a UA guy I think now and GREAT DL ambassador early on)
Lexpassenger (I have not searched to know actually)
paradocs (AA if I'm not mistaken)
GoCanes (an occasional visitor from time to time I think)
Cholula (retired and burning DL miles to and from Hawaii I believe)
Dovster (one of the great characters of earlier DL Forum days)
Of course there are some that remain...

No offense to anyone left off that last list of course. It's merely that there's a lot of voices on this board now and we all probably seek the posts of some and run from the posts of others. I like the helpful and corrective voices myself. Not much on the complaining voices really.
Anyone else from days gone by that you think of and, sniff sniff, miss their presence in the FT Delta Forum? No need to mention those that you wish would, hooray, leave the FT Delta Forum. That's another post I'll let someone else start.

eyeflydoc comes to mind as does Randy Petersen some others andymo, dovster, Cholula, Paradocs and Socrates.

I came here initially for the Lounge™ thread as I started flying circuitous routings on DL to credit to NW, so most of my initial exposure was to the wacky Lounge™ crew -- Canarsie, Dovster, Cholula ,Lehava, et al. When I met Lehava at our first-ever MSP GetTogether I had to grill her for info on the other three, because I wasn't yet convinced that they could actually be real people. Between the Lounge™ thread & WWBTNFTMTP (another Canarsie creation frequented by the same crowd), we've gotten to know quite a few FlyerTalkers that we keep bumping into all over the world.
As far as "trusted voices" here in DL land, any list will slight those who are omitted, but my list would include RSSrvsp, rcs855551, ClipperDelta, vasantn.

While I am very flattered by all of these references, I should point out that I am a relative newcomer, having joined in July 2003.
I was immediately welcomed by Obscure2K and Cholula, much to their eternal embarrassment and regret.
My first post also resulted in my being attacked by somebody called FrequencyFlyer, who disappeared shortly afterward (no I did not put out a contract on him).

He's one I was trying to think of as well. He was DFW based I think and pretty much was forced to jump ship when DL pulled out of DFW a few springs ago.
Some great names others have posted. Nostalgia is running deep this morning just east of Atlanta...
