Not only would money be saved, so would the trees. Dave CO did decide to save some trees by getting rid of those cool "Connect CLE/EWR/IAH" tags, though. Too bad. |

One other thing I love about NW - they use priority tags for domestic trips and they usually work. Everytime in ATL I have returned on a domestic Y, my bag is one of the first onto the baggage belt with the tag. I keep kicking myself for forgetting to insist that DL tag it priority when interlining to NW though!
flew with NW, got their yellow tags and our bags came up first. Noticed a luggage cart with a yellow tag type bumper sticker that said something like unload priority luggage first. Bob H |

I think with Delta, the "priority" designation is on the actual bar-coded tag. There's no separate priority tag like there is on UA or CO.

Not that any of this makes an appreciable difference on any of the domestic airlines, that I have ever noticed. It's just as scatter-shot as any other time, from what I can tell. (DL is no better or worse)

This is an interesting topic..
Wifey and I flew on an "O" fare for each of FLL-JFK-BCN on 27 Nov and BCN-JFK-FLL on 13 Dec. On the outbound flight, the agent in FLL placed no priority tags placed on our luggage. On the inbound flight, the agent in BCN did place the priority tags on our luggage. When we were clearing customs in JFK, our luggage was among the first 10 pieces to come onto the carousel. Not that it matters, but why would one agent use the tags and another not? |
