EATS is better than most garbage Delta gives in First Class. I travel on all FC paid tickets. Every airline Ive flown (even US air) has a better first class catering product than Delta. I think in First class, Delta has become un-competitive and they are nickel and diming their premium customers more than anyone. The best is JFK-SJU. Delta does not serve anything on a 1600 mile flight at 830am because they feel that route is not competitive. Mean while Continental sells out their First Class due to their excellent service on that route (Business First style meals)! AVOID Delta first!

My only complaint was that I got it on a red eye because it was the only BOB option available. I really would consider it a snack, not a meal, and I would have much preferred to have a sandwich or something else more substantial.

Had the shrimp salad and a roast beef sandwich yesterday. The sandwich was good but the shrimp salad was fantastic.
Two huge chunks of feta and the shrimp was tender and seasoned. In the future I am sitcking with it. The wife was very impressed.
I was in such a good mood I even enjoyed the Amanda Bynes movie.

I'm glad to hear there are other options people are recommending since I did hear a FA tell another passenger he would have to wait to see if the item he chose was still available after the service was complete in Coach. I would much rather let one of the FAs have my FC hot meal and pay for something that is actually edible. If anyone else has tried any of the options, it would be good to know what you thought of them. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome, lofly. I'm still tiptoeing around, trying to learn the basics so I don't make too many newbie mistakes. Hopefully, once I get a little more comfortable, I can contribute more.

Welcome to FlyerTalk and don't worry about it. We are pretty gentle here in the Delta Forum.

Food on Delta
I was on a flight last month CVG-LAS. This was the first flight on which food was served from that location. I found the selection very limited and after scanning the menu found there was very little that was interesting for any meals. The confusion also meant that I was not even offered the snack pack. So for me this is a definite disappointment.
