Atlanta-bound Delta flight makes emergency landing - Bird strike

Original AJC article stated blown tire, but USA Today has it as bird strike. It was flight DL 938 (MD-88).

In Columbus, Ohio, meanwhile, a bird flew into an engine of a Delta Air Lines flight during takeoff Friday night, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing, an airline spokeswoman said. There were no reports of injuries to the 140 passengers and six crewmembers.

It was my first emergency landing... makes for an interesting experience - got trained in "Brace and stay low".
