73h - Jfk
Well, it looks like they have started loading the new 160 seat configuation into the system. I was looking at flights on December 13 from JFK-LAS and there are two 737-800's. The 450PM shows as a 73H with 16 and 144, while the late flight is a 738 with 16 and 134. If you try and book the 450PM, it still shows as a 752, so the schedule change will decrease upgrade availability. :(

But if you dont' clear, at least you get AVOD IFE in Coach.

And the new seats are supposed to be comfortable.

WOW! A net of 10Y seats all due to slim-line seating???

It's not only thanks to slimline. They also had some free space in the back, as they intentionally configured the 738 to hold less than 150 seats.

Are they upgrading all B738s to this configuration? Back in July I flew a B738 from LAX to LAS and had old style seats and no IFE. It wouldn't really matter on that flight, but some of the longer flights like ATL-JFK/LGA/EWR and some of the Caribbean flights could definitely use it. LAX-LAS is the only time I've ever flown a Delta B738 but I've flown ATL-LAX on an Airtran B737-700 which, even in their business class, made for a pretty long boring flight.

Ouch!. 160 seats on a 737 is gonna make for one crowded plane. Even with thiner seats, that's a lot to pack on. AA only flies 144 on the same equipment with 16F.
