2003 Medallion Credentials

I moved up from Silver to Gold for 2003.

Has anyone received their 2003 materials?

Shouldn't the topic of this thread be named 2003 Medallion Crudentials?

This assumes you would even use them in the first place.

What do the new cards look like for PM? (somebody scan them in..... I won't be home for a while)

Are the bag tags old-school or new-school (small and thick or wide and thin)?

Can I have a couple? Can GM's even use a gifted PM certificate? I'll never see the light of PM. Whats it like? hehe

AIRcop -- they're non-transferable (except for a traveling partner on the same itin as the PM who "owns" the certs), which is why I put the big grinning smiley on my message. In days past, when EVERYONE could earn SWUs, they were great, but they couldn't be used by anyone except the earning member. All Medallions earned a pair of SWUs after every 20,000 miles traveled, and the clock didn't reset every January 1.

Since I only travel domestically for business, I only used the SWUs for domestic travel. But even so, they were still valuable, because they allowed SMs and GMs to be a "one-shot Platinum" and upgrade a K+ at the time of booking. Even after becoming PM, I sometimes found them useful, since segment and SWU upgrades came out of different buckets. If you couldn't get a V (segment) ug, you might still be able to get a G (SWU) ug. The PMUs can still be used in that fashion, but at least you can also get a traveling companion upgraded with them too.

Still, I miss the SWUs greatly. Those were the days . . .
