PM Mileage Carry-over 2002 into 2003

We are coming up on the date (Feb 28) where those who qualified for PM early in 2002 (before 9/18/02) would be able to have the base miles earned in much of fall 2002 converted into 2003 base miles. Wow, that seems so long ago in view of all the SM changes that have followed!

Who amongst us is eligible for these deferred base miles? And most importantly, what are the odds that DL will get the carry-over done correctly?

While an employee of mine hit it, I had 40 segments on CO and NW and missed it by a week.

I'm still waiting. If they use new formula I get 10,752 miles (mostly U last fall). Over 18,000 if they use last years rules.

Supposedly they will use last year's rules (according to consultant bruceb).

I am expecting 31,756 of carryover. But it's pretty academic. That should knock me over 50K for the year, which gets me the GM through 02/2005 which DL granted PMs automatically. I don't reckon I care to "go for" PM again, but I might hit it by default.

I have a similar situation. The carry-over will be enough to give me GM for 2004, but I'm lifetime GM (or "maybe" lifetime, as we have discussed in other threads), anyway, as a 2MM. Quite honestly, the difference between GM and PM will be SO small in 2004 that I'm not inclined to go out of my way to achieve PM again. And with "only" 2.4 million lifetime miles, I'm 10-20 years away from lifetime PM. So I might as well get used to GM.

I am still doubtful that DL will carry this over seamlessly. I just have a nagging suspicion that something will get screwed up...

I'm waiting on around 25K. By the time these post I'll have flown almost 40,000 miles since my last DL flight (about 33,000 MQMs).

Around 37,000 and like Bruce and others all it will get me is Gold which I would have gotten anyway. I've booked all of 2 flights on DL this year and one was to ATL and the other DL was more convenient. I could make PM but I am not inclined to give DL the business - especially the profitable Y fares since the spend does nothing for me. Delta has effectively turned this rabidly loyal PM into a completely disloyal GM at least for one more year.

Better EXP on AA than PM on DL. As a side note, perhaps DL is trying to thin the ranks by making it impossible for many to re-qualify for PM and are planning to restore most of the bennie for the few who stayed. Dumb idea as I see it...

I disagree that it is more difficult to qualify... segment folks are out of luck, but there will be some folks who flew 70K on high fares in the past who will now qualify.
But it is not just the PMs that have been mugged... it is all across the board!
