Any NEW Platinum named in january, (as Bruceleb mentioned in this forum) ?
I expect to be comped to PLATINUM (comped is not the right term but I feel it this way) as my 2002 profile in term of MQM is far better than my QM one.
No news yet.
Are there people in this forum that already received their good news ?

I sure hope it comes through!! or I'm out of the "will." - I was at my Dad's at Christmas and he was "crying in his beer" because my Mother forbid him to do a mile run over the holidays and he was 3,000 short of Platinum for the year...."not to worry I said...let's recalculate your history using the new MQM's"...lo and behold - due to his international runs he was 15K OVER - "Merry Christmas" I said. Now if this doesn't pan out I'm in really BIG trouble.

Sorry for the poor link.
Here is the discussion concerning the double miles promotion ofr which the answer from bruceb does not seem so clear to me:

1. be multiplied by the multiplier for that class of ticket to arive at a quailification miles number, or
2. be converted at face value to a quailification miles number, or
3. be ignored in the recalculation.
Thanks in advance for clearing this up for me.
----------------------------------------------AND THE ANSWER--(by Bruceb)------
Basically, they have been converted at face value (i.e. one-to-one basis) (#2);
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As a matter or fact, I understand it, BTW as follows:
The segment is 8000 miles return (twice 4000)
My INTERPRETATION (1)
WAS : 8000 base plus 8000 promotion double miles
NOW : 12 000 plus 8000 (this last one is a one by one)if this is Y,B or M
NOW : 8 000 plus 8 000 if K or other
NOW : 4 000 plus 8 000 if less
INTERPRETATION (2)
An another interpretation could be 'one by one' for ALL miles, independently of the fact that the flight was K,U or M, which does not seem realistic to me.
INTERPRETATION (3)
The last one would be : everyting double, or half, or just one by one, but this does not correspond to te one by one information given by bruceb....
