SKYTEAM 2005 Gives 2000 Bonus Miles. What is this for?

Is this the same as the current promotion running for those of us who registered earlier this year or late last that gives 2000 bonus miles per international longhaul Skyteam flight flown after February 6th or 7th this year and through April? Or is this something else?

It's that SkyTeam 5th anniversary promotion.

Yes it is. A bunch more of the 2000 bonus miles posted today under the same title. They are crediting at the same pace as the actual segments are posting. I have to give Delta credit for having amongst the better "posting" technologies amongst the airlines.

... and for sometimes being weak on making "deductions."

Not in my case, and decent at that too. "Skyteam 2006" would make more sense as a label since it is only posting for flights in 2006. (Registration for this promotion was possible in 2005, but it was also possible in 2006 too.)

... however, if one were to talk about getting DL to remove a credited flight segment -- say for crediting that given segment to another program -- would the associated bonuses be deducted too? If not -- and that is a big "if" given that some bonuses get deducted -- DL would thereby be weak in making deductions too.

What explicitly did you have in mind?
