Can a 16 year old person apply for the Delta/Amex credit card and get the 10,000 miles?

I think you ought to be at least 17 to receive one. Or it may be 18 now.

The contract of minor is only good for necessities. No way does Amex give a 16 y.o. his/her own credit card. I doubt they'd give a joint-account with mom/dad, either...and by that I mean a true joint account.

D*mn. When I was 16, FF miles were only 2 years old....
