Post miles to Air France or Delta FF program?

In August my wife and I flew SFO-MRS (Marseille, France) and flew on Air France.
We belong to both AirFrance's Frequence Plus and Delta's SkyMiles....but have 0 miles in all accounts.

I currently have a United Credit Card and have ~17,000 miles there.

My question is, since we are very unlikely to fly AirFrance or Delta regularly (especially Air France) which plan would be better to submit our tickets stubs to to receive the miles?

I have also joined HHonors recently because I've learned that I can trade my AirFrance/Delta miles to points, then to United miles.

Thanks for helping a newbie FF.

You can change DL miles for HHonours points but not AF Frequence Plus miles.

I would stick with DL if you are located in the US. I belong to Frequence Plus but probably should have gone in with Delta (even though I never fly Delta but fly AF about 3 international round trips/year).

Hi mark!

And welcome to the boards!!

I would recommend you put your stubs into Delta. You have mentioned that you would be more likely to fly them rather than Air France again. Plus the fact that as you live in the US, I guess there may well be a chance that you will end up taking a last minute Delta flight somewhere when United isn't available.

Also, Frequence PLus is not a partner of Hilton Hhonors.
