Redepositing miles help

I was able to book an awards ticket using 35,000 skymiles last year, which i ended up not using due to a change in schedule. I want to redeposit the miles back into my account so that I can save up for a trip to Europe. Is it possible to redeposit them without incurring a fee? (I do not have elite status). what is the best way to do this?

thanks everyone.

I think you will have to pay the $50 fee.

This from Delta’s Website:

Award Ticket Redemption
14 days or less $50 per ticket
Award Ticket Redemption
15 days or more No charge1
SkySaver Award Ticket Reissue $50
SkyChoice Award Ticket Reissue No charge
Same-day Travel Changes $25
Award Ticket Redeposit $50

I don’t see any way around the $50 re-deposit fee.
Maybe others can provide more encouraging information.
