So if i have a flight booked for tomorrow and signed up for the promo today... can i go to the airport and do a same day change to an earlier flight pay my 50 bucks and get double MQMs? I am likely to do this anyways...Anybody have any ideas? I would call delta but im guessing they wouldnt know or just tell me to stop scamming the system.

How did you set your birthday online? The birthday profile field appears to be free form. Whenever I enter a value and save (regardless of whether or not it's a valid full date, valid day and month only, or random text), I get a message saying that the value was succcessfully saved, but the value entered disappears from the screen.

I'm confused....or is this a trick question?
Birthday promotion? If you are referring to the promotion for double medallion qualification miles...
Enroll and purchase tickets on delta.com between March 31 - April 30, 2008.
Travel on flights dated March 31, 2008 - June 30, 2008....
you missed the boat.
But to answer your question, no you wouldn't get credit for a NW flight.

To the OP: I didn't get the email, so I can't check the Ts&Cs, but I would assume no. If the rules are the same as the "regular" double MQM promo, it has to be a DL coded flight. So, if you find a NW-DL codeshare, by the DL code. Otherwise, no dice.
