I would submit that you aren't currently entitled to "fight to the front of the line".

Otherwise, I welcome the new feature.

Agree that under the system that was in place before today, if I showed up late in the boarding process, it was the back of the line for me. Didn't even bother to try cutting by playing the elite card...it would probably fall on deaf ears to most pax, so it wasn't worth the effort.

At least now there is a legitimate line that lets late arriving elites to the front of the line.

Very nice, should be put at all airports if it works out. :)

Not a bad way to do it; no need for it during Zones 1-3; it'll only save time in Zones 4-9.

Of course, those who would need it (and qualify) in zones 4-9 weren't there when they made that first announcement. Or was this repeated again during the boarding process? If the latter, then a big ^! CO and NW don't do mid-boarding explanations, in my experience.

Just saw this in ATL this evening. Hope it works and takes off!

It works in most places on most airlines. The only known exception is AMS where KL regularly screws up their priority lane for premium passengers.

it's great

used this in ATL on Wednesday. Had recently been wondering why DL hadn't followed this trend. Just another sign that they're keeping up with the joneses... if not passing them.

I'd have to totally agree with that.
It annoys me when I am Zone 2 and it has been announced, to have some schmuck try to push his way fwd with a Z1 BP. Especially when I saw same schmuck in the CRC waiting to the last minute to make his way to the gate.

When DL is boarding pax to the rear of the plane and you waltz on to FC late, now you are holding things up. If you are Z1 and want on - get your fat lazy butt to the gate before boarding commences if you want to get on quickly.

Even if your cnx is late - I say line up and board with the masses if they are boarding post Z3.

I used "Breezeway" last night in ATL (stupid slugs at starbucks and their $6 tuna sandwiches, but I digress). It took the GA a pax or two before she saw me standing there, then she politely told the next pax to wait a second, that she had to take me next. Boy, you would not believe the evil look I got from the pax that was held up - I know truly understand the saying "if looks could kill." It was very nice though. As I was stowing my bags above my seat at 2D, and waiting for 2C to get out of his seat so I could get in (1C and 1D were an elderly coulple who were fully reclined (MD-88 by the way), the pax who was held up and now behind me snappishly said "just use this bin over here" while pointing at the bin above 2A/B. I patiently explained that there was space in the bin above my seat and I wanted to leave the bin above 1A/B for the passengers who were seated there. The held up pax shut up then, but continued to fume, scowl, etc.

Overall, I like the "Breezeway" concept, but it'll be interesting to see if other passengers eventually "get it".

I do have to admit that I'm not overly enamored with the product name. At least with CO's "Elite Access" the product name clearly implies the purpose of the product.

The other thing I don't care for is the new boarding concept (and they did this in PHL as well) of "Zones 1, 2, and 3 are welcome to board at this time". It makes the boarding process a bit TOO chaotic.

KLM has a priority lane ? Oh I forgot they have special access lanes for IPB/NonRev's

I used it yesterday in ATL and it worked like a charm. I sat at the gate until they called zone 6 and then walk right on.

DL needs to roll this out system wide today.....

Ah, but this may reduce the frequency with which one needs to use the boarding stick. ;)

Loving the new Breezeway. As usual, I spent too long in the CRC on Monday and arrived at the gate in the middle of the boarding process. Worked like a charm.
