Not that the seat was the worst, but added to the situation it sucked.
Newly "minted" PM, and this is my first week on the road as such. My UG cleared for the GSO/ATL leg at the window, and I then won (or appeared to win) the battlefield UG for the ATL/MFE leg. IRROPS happened, and the delay turned into an equipment downgrade. I checked in and the GA told me not to worry... I had been put back in my original 12C since there was no F on the new equipment. I let it go, not even thinking that 12C on the CRJ2 meant that I would need a "stink shield". Boarded the plane, and quickly realized I should have VDB.... No recline, and in front of the crapper.
No worries, as stuff happens. When the FA came for the drink service, I figured I would go with a DOuble Woodford and Coke (comprimising the purity of the Woodford, I know), but she then told me that the flight was a "cash only" flight. WTH? Cash only? NP... I reached for the HOOU coupons, but only had one... pulled out a $10 to go with it. She then made a big deal out of getting the $3 change. I almost reminded her that if it were not for IRROPS then they would both be free.
Again.. not the end of the world, as I know that stuff happens!
Just happened today, so thought I would share!

Take for example two people who are married and flying together and unfortunately couldn't get seats next to each other. Would you be the person who tells them that you won't swap seats with them and take a window so that they can sit next to their husband/wife who happens to be next to you and thus forcing them to sit in front of each other? Is your precious aisle seat that important to you? Maybe it is.

>>>>>>Rows 1-12 A-D and 13 A-B on the CRJ.
That about covers it.
EXCEPT that if you book 1C or 1D in advance (the row 1 aisle seats on the CRJ-too-hideous are now open for advance booking) the blocked-off window seats in row 1 tend to go empty (because chances are there is nobody at the gate who will request to move to row 1). Then you have 1 A/B or 1 C/D to yourself (shift to the window when the door closes, and it feels like a world away). This beats some first class seats I have had.

I've got a new nomination for worst seat(s)... row 35 on the 777s. 34 is EC and has extra recline, row 35 has normal pitch. As an added benefit, you're almost certainly on the plane for a long haul flight
