Does anyone know how SkyClub membership redemption works? Does it stack upon your existing membership? or is it a waste if I already have membership for another year?

Had some points expiring this year. As a result, there are a few folks getting SkyClub passes as stocking stuffers.
Expiration date on them is Dec 31, 2019. So even with the SC changes, looks like "existing single visit passes" will be floating around at least until then. Curious to see if SkyBonus eliminates this as a redemption option.

How do flights on partners like Aeromexico that initiate in North America on AM ticket stock credit when it comes to MQD and dollars for Sky Bonus? Is it the same (dollar for dollar or is it a special ratio that makes some of the cheap Aeromexico fares a good way to fulfill spending requirements for Sky Bonus)?

Ticketing airline is not important, marketing airline determines your earning table but operating airline is also important (flights must be operated by a partner)

Because of the huge earnings difference between hubs and non-hubs, you can sometimes earn 3 times as much by driving just a little bit farther.
For example, instead of departing MSP, go out of RST, which is an hour away, and sometimes prices out cheaper anyway.

Good lord - I usually redeem for Sky Club passes that I give to colleagues/clients, but SB now wants 95k for 5 passes.
It was enough that I blinked and looked back at my history:
- 2015: 5 Day passes for 60k
- 2017/2018: 5 Single-visit passes for 85k
Drink chits are still 10 for 10k so for the cost of 5 single-visit club passes, I can get 95 on-board drinks to dole out. Sheesh.
Only catch is the T&Cs say the drink coupons will expire 12/31/2019. Anyone know when they will update so they expire in late 2020 instead?

The last time I ordered SkyClub certs, the were good for 12-months from the date of order, and that's what they said on the cards themselves, but it's been a couple of years since I ordered them.

Agreed, call and ask. I've ordered in December and they were good for 13 months. When I ordered, I think the website indicated they would expire in a few weeks, but when I called they clarified the certs would have the new expiry.

SkyBonus Upgrade Success Story
Today I used two 50,000pt domestic upgrade certificates successfully for the first time on a trans-con D1 flight. It's the first time I've ever found inventory for this to work! DCA-LAX in January. I normally burn SkyBonus points on other things.
So here's the interesting part, I called the SkyBonus reservations line before ordering the certificates, just to confirm availability. The agent not only confirmed availability, but told me she could book me the upgrades and issue the ticket. She told me I would have 4-days to call back in to actually give them the certificate numbers. Sure enough she booked the tickets over the phone and I was confirmed into D1. I ordered the certificates and when they came in via email, called back to apply them. But what surprised me is that they were able to claim the upgrades and put them in a reservation before I had them certificates! Has anyone else experienced this?
