11/16/05 - Booked 3 R/T IAH-OGG using 35K miles each for use in Sept. 06, on Continental Airlines (had to phone it in of course).

Around June of '05 I booked 3 R/T HOU-GCM SkySaver online (30K each) for travel in Feb '06, though I had to cancel it due to schedule conflitcts. I lucked out on getting the 90K miles redeposited for free since there was an equipment change and I disputed it (not letting them know my real need for changing it though, of course).

Has anyone else noticed that in the last few days with the increased talk of a pilots' strike that award availability has tightened up?

It's hard for me to tell the difference because I couldn't find a reward online either before or afterwards!!! You're right though it is nearly impossible right now.

Two Skysaver BE tickets ROC CVG ATL EZE ATL CLE ROC for OCT 06 on first try. The next day I changed my mind and rebooked for ROC ATL SCL EZE ATL ROC to have a few days in Santiago. Again no problem and granted that it is near the limit of booking.

Secrets to Booking With DL Partners?

I'm looking for a business/first class seat from NYC to Rome or Venice in late July or early August and there is ZERO availability for the Sky Saver awards on the direct flights. What is the secret to booking award travel on Delta's partners that I know fly directly from JFK and EWR?

I got 2 SkySaver BE Award MLB-LGW tickets first try but I did have to be a little flexible. I wanted a Friday to Friday, but settled for Thursday to Thursday (one day earlier).

When are we going? I would have prefered TXL or PRG, but if you want to take me to LGW, that is OK.

Got 2 Skysaver tickets TOL-CVG-MBJ for July, I guess booking 8 months in advance is necessary in order to find those very rare skysaver tickets!
