Thanks. It was a bit better by bedtime last night, but is back to being very painful this morning.

Clearly, the best treatment for your ear infection is whatever you did when you got into bed.

Repeat it three or four times a day -- if Mr. Kipper doesn't collapse during the treatment.

They would pucker up and glare at him, but he'd sidle up next to them, grinning his most devilish grin, and say, "Try that on your little sister/little brother/mom/dad/complete stranger!!"

They would get that same grin, and go skipping off, hollering, "Hey, this one is awesome!!!"

Oh God. Yes. It was terrible. Took two cups of Delaware Punch to get that taste out.

Okay -- my book has been published!

The title is "Wilde is the Joker" and the author is "Josh Wilde" (one of my many pen names).

You have the choice of buying it in Economy Class or First Class. Both can be found at this page.

Economy Class is the Kindle edition and costs $4.99 or, if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can get it for free.

Like all Economy Class products, it has several drawbacks. For a start, right now it is showing only the temporary cover, which is boring. I am hoping to get it upgraded to the more interesting permanent cover. In addition, you get no food or drinks, are not authorized any baggage, and must read it when sitting in an uncomfortable chair.

The First Class edition costs $11.98. It comes complete with a great back cover which is only slightly ruined by having my picture on it. (I am wearing sunglasses to keep me from being recognized by the millions of people who will buy the book and then mob me when I go out in public.)

If you buy the First Class edition you not only get to sit in the most comfortable chair that you can find, but you get unlimited free drinks and booze (as long as someone else is paying) and you can take as much luggage as you want for free -- except on airplanes.

It has only been on sale for a few minutes and four copies have already been bought (one for me, one for my Ex, and one each for both of my children).

PS: I have no idea of why the software only allowed the link to be connected to the first letter in the words "this page", so you have to click on the "t".

PPS: After receiving the book, write a wonderful review of it, praising it to the sky, and submit it to Amazon. After you do that, you can start reading it.

Any chance of an autographed copy?

The single "t" link took me to a broken FT page. I'll try and post the real one here.

I do think your FT post should have been the product description on Amazon. That was hysterical!

That brings you to the Kindle edition. If you want to see the wonderful cover, click on the "paperback" link on that page.

If you like that post you will love the satire in the book which begins:

The crisis in the air travel industry resulted in my old friend, Charlie Messerschmidt, being laid off from his job as Director of Fares Formulations by Luftwaffe Airlines and his subsequent move into the casino hotel business.

Sure, just stop by my house on any Friday and you can get the autographed copy when you leave on Monday.

Kudos on the book, Dovster!!!

In other news, I had the opportunity to have lunch with Canarsie, atldlff, and a group of Diamonds and Flight Attendants yesterday.

Then we headed over to the Delta Flight Museum and the opening day of the 747 Experience https://www.deltamuseum.org/exhibits/747-experience

If you have the chance, go see it!!!

However, it was disconcerting to see these small cables and pulleys going over, under, and around the structural components. These are the cables that connect to the control surfaces and looked like something from the 20's!

how did you think the commands from the pilots (yoke and rudder pedals, trim switches, etc? actually made the control surfaces move? bluetooth? lol
