Got up bright and early to head out to SLC for the weekend, but my (AA) CRJ-900 was downgauged to a 200 and they're begging for volunteers. I volunteered at $500, they bumped it up to $700 and the whole process has taken long enough that I'd have missed my first connection in CLT anyway. They're clearly trying to avoid IDBs - thanks United!

Yep, nudged it on after, like always, two people misconnected.
I also learned that of all the airports to be homeless in (try to sleep in) for four hours - LAX T5 is probably the worst.

I had a very pleasant top-down drive from Arlington VA to Ithaca NY this morning ... looking forward to an encore tomorrow afternoon; meeting up with kipper and Mr kipper in York PA for a beer or two before the last part of the trip
