I actually put in some work time at home yesterday and will be in the office this afternoon, then 9 or 10 hrs per day the rest of this week and all next week get me to 80 in the pay period without using any vacation

You must really want to save your vacation.

Especially when the FAs don't cooperate. If they suggest to the C+ pax forward of L2 to let the F pax pass them, and hold back the pax behind L2, the exit is still reasonably quick. When they do neither, it can take (it feels like) forever.

flex time is my friend, and the issue isn't "save" so much as "manage": when I'm telecommuting from Seattle I'll typically put in only 4-6 hrs a day vs 8-10 in the office in DC, and I only earn 10 hrs of vacation a month

Non-rev cleared into the FC seat next to me on MSY-DTW. He was quite surprised.

Interesting flight so far from 1B. Like five people whined to the FA about their seat assignments, even though the flight is Y50. Then someone denies themselves boarding by having a meltdown in the jetbridge. Also, I'm pretty sure that I'm the highest level elite on this flight. Only one to clear at 6 days out, and the upgrade list had four people on it, including the NRSA.

On a more random note...

(you may dispute that it's from Vox, but still)

Planning on possibly leaving for MCO again this weekend and LAS in late august because the Cosmopolitan'll be $100/night.

Mornin' Lounge! That's just when I was getting up. Running in TX in July is bearable as long as I'm done before the sun comes up.
