welcome
Welcome to the DL forum. Your chances for upgrades are good for domestic flights in the US. International upgrades are another story, only with miles (25000 each way), but if you fly in/out of the new Berlin route, chances are going to be good.

thanks for welcoming me.
Most of my flights are domestic but I also have some int. routes,
among them the cdg-atl-route, which I think has always a pretty high load, espec. in august. i will fly on the new txl-jfk route in june, booked in y.

b) I suggest that you call and ask for a challenge which would be a faster way to earn status and reap the benefits.
c) Your chances for upgrades really depend on the domestic routes that you will fly. If you are flying out of ATL or CVG, you will be competing against many PM's. Also be aware of the fact that the number of Song flights are increasing and there is only one class of service on Song, so scoring upgrades is really a moot point.
As for international upgrades , you are correct that the CDG-ATL and also CDG-JFK routes are extremely tough in the summer time. You might be better off looking for an I fare if you can ever find one, especially if you are purchasing mainly Y & B fares.

Thanks for your help and for the information.
I will see whats happening, especially on my intl. routes.
So far, my bookings do not show any Song flight.
Some flights so far are operated by SkyWest (which has only one class).
I´m really excited to find out how Delta is doing, since I will shift my business from KLM/AF to mainly DL.
Once again, thanks for welcoming me to this forum. I hope I won´t ask too many "newbie"-questions in the future

Refer a Friend
Hi,
Is the Delta Refer a Friend program still active? I seem to remember that Delta provided some free miles to the Skymiles member that refers them to the Delta site and becomes a skymiles member.
If this is still active, does someone have the link?

Refering my fiance to SkyMiles...any bonus for me available?
Hi,
I know that DL had some promo where you could refer others to SkyMiles and get bonus miles for that. I am currently GM and would like to refer my fiancé to SkyMiles. We will be taking a few flights together next year and I would like her to collect miles with DL, too.
Do you know of any promo regarding this? Thank you!

This exact question (referral bonus) was posted on the first page of the delta thread when asked.

I probably wouldn't expect anything till 2006.

Any current referal bonuses?
Anything for referring new members or credit card referrals at present? Thanks. I actually found someone that has never flown and wants to start.

Referral Bonus
I apologize if this topic is already being addressed in this forum, but is anyone aware of an ongoing Delta SkyMiles referral bonus? I tried using the search feature, but did not have any luck -- I kept receiving a 404 error. Thanks!
