Delta pillows?
The tablecloth thread got me thinking about this.
What resides in the pillow covers at the end of the day? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif Makes me sick knowing that this goes on! It is like CSI walking into a hotel room and finding 100 different DNA samples (that is another story...hotel bed spreads YECH. There is reasonable coast cutting then there is the ridiculous |
Perhaps DL could include a disposable pillow cover in each Blue Bag or the FA's could distribute the disposable pillow covers when they set the tables with the tablepaper. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Perhaps we will eventually be offered the Delta Total Body Condom. Designated sizes and colors according to medallion status.
------------------ Embrace denial. |
How often are the pillow covers really changed? And what about the blankets?
Being a tall person, I use the pillows to prop my feet up for comfort on flights. Don't worry though, I take my shoes off before doing this.
I take the pillow slip off, turn it wrong side out, and put it back on. I don't know if that helps, but it makes me feel better. Don't get me started on the bathrooms!
This is disgusting!! I had no idea that they did this! Do they do this on all flights? (even Intl BizE?)
So those little black curly 'fibers' aren't really lint from the blankets after all. Oh joy.
Quick and easy solution... for ovenight flights I simply bring my own travel pillow. (Compresses into a small bag that fits easily into most carryons... about 9"x4"x4" when folded) More comfortable than any airline pillow, and there's no question as to where it has been. Can buy them pretty cheap at EMS or any other similar establishment.
On long flights, I bring a pillow case from home and insert two airline pillows side by side - works great. In F, I use it for lumbar support.

This is particularly scary given the SARS virus that is going around. And I too used them for my feet, or sometimes put them on the floor. Even if I take off my shoes, a visual impression nobody needs.
What about the ones that people sit on? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

I do not use the pillows on Delta. I once saw the passenger(a well-dressed man in business suit) sleeping next to me who drooled like a baby on the pillo. YUCK!!!
...and yes, a lot of people also use them to prop up their feet. Shoes or no shoes, it's still smelly. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |
