i just called to cancel my delta sky MILES cc, and they offered me a delta Sky POINTS CC. the new CC came with no annual fee, and 2,500 bonus points, the points should be converted 1:1 to miles.

does anybody know anything about this POINTS (not miles) card? was this a good deal? thanks

Can you update this as said in this thread (V-fare base gets full Skymiles points). Thanks.

Will I earn Delta miles if I purchase a PE ticket from Virgin? The Delta site says G, T, U, and N fares do not earn mileage credit. Could a PE seat be in one of these fare classes? The Virgin site doesn't show what fare class you are purchasing.

I took the flights on a "K" fare and got 115% of actual miles flown.

How to earn miles on Korean when booking online?

Does anybody know how to earn Delta SkyMiles when booking a non-U.S. itinerary on Korean Air over www.koreanair.com ?

I have tried to book a BKK-SEL ticket online from www.koreanair.com but the website forces you to have a Skypass account number to buy a ticket. However, I do not have a Skypass number and want to credit the miles for my flight to my Delta SkyMiles account. How is it possible to overcome that?

Thanks a lot.

Do you earn MQMs and Elite bonuses when flying VS metal? Or just RDMs?

This has changed to the following:

Continental Airlines:
Mileage may be earned on Continental-coded flights operated by Continental, Commute Air (CO 8635–8797 only), ExpressJet, Continental Micronesia, Chautauqua, or any SkyTeam partner. Travel on Cape Air, Colgan Air, Commutair, Gulfstream International, and Regions Air is ineligible for mileage accrual. Mileage credit is not applicable for fares booked in YN, EN, E, GN, G, F, or P class. 150% of mileage applies only to A, C, D, J, and Z class only.

According to a Continental fare chart I found online, fare class R has replaced or is similar to fare class F (first upgrade). Does anyone know if they will award miles for class R?

I hate to bump this old thread up... but I have a question....I thought I'd only earn 1/2 MQM by flying CO in certain classes (our corp TA has to book ticket). I don't see any mention of 1/2 MQM here or on Delta.com and Canarsie did edit this thread on 1/26/08.

I am looking at a ticket in Economy: O and Shuttle Service: U class on CO. Both are on 737s. Thanks!

You'll get full (1 MQM) credit. The MQM chart is kind of hidden on DL.com.

First or Business (A, C, J, Z, D): 1.5 MQMs
Coach/Economy (Y, H): 1.5 MQMs
Coach/Economy (discounted) (K, N, B, V, U, O, M): 1 MQM
Coach/Economy (deeply-discounted) (Q, I, S, W, T, X, L): 0.5 MQM

Thanks, that's pretty sneaky (in a not nice way) of Delta. You have to click on Medallion Qualification Miles Calculation to find the 1/2 MQM verbage.... this is not listed on the main/first page. I knew there was a 1/2 MQM but thought since I didn't see it listed on the first/main page of earning miles section, I figured it changed recently. Nope, it's just Delta hiding things.

Effective immediately, Skymiles customers can also earn miles on Hawaiian Airlines.

Economy Class: 500 miles minimum or actual miles flown, whichever is greater
Business Class: 150% of mileage
First Class: 150% of mileage

No Medallion Qualification Miles on Hawaiian Airlines.

Amex Skymiles card: Can existing card be converted into it?

I consider converting an existing Amex Clear card ($5k CL) into the Skymiles Gold CC. The rationale is to get the 20k miles bonus without 'paying' with a hard credit pull. Would that work? Has anyone tried that before?
