On Monday, PBI-ATL Edward H. Bastian. He was in first. Thankfully I did not miss the upgrade by one or I might have been annoyed.
Evidently, according to my seatmate he lives in the Palm Beach area and commutes to work. I would not have noticed but the seatmate asked the FA is he was on board. She didn't even know he was on board.
We did get thanked for flying Delta more often than normal.

I certainly would NOT be annoyed if I saw EB in FC and I was #1 on the upgrade list, particularly on such a short flight! If I saw EB sitting in C+, and I was in FC, I would immediately go to him and offer to swap seats. You never know what might happen doing that! Nothing to lose, and perhaps score some huge points!

Today, DL 1367, GRR -ATL. Jim Craig (1980 Olympic hockey team goalie). Really nice guy. He was actually watching Miracle on Ice during part of the flight. When I asked him if he perhaps had played a bit of hockey himself, he had the biggest grin. He was nice enough to stop for a pic with me when we got off the plane.
