I was on DL1619 (777LR) from DTW to LAX on 1/28 and met George Clooney.
He was on 6D (Damn...I had 7D but I changed it to 14B later...) I talked to him little shook his hand. He looked pale somewhat I think due to Malaria he got late last year...
Also, I heard it was a congressman on 13B but didn't know his name. He was flying with his wife 13C and a couple of secret service guys in Y. 3 other secret service guys were waiting at gate as well.

DCA-ATL I sat next to Cal Thomas, USA Today's "conservative" columnist who writes a Thursday column with his liberal "friend" Bob something or other. Maybe not a celebrity, but someone known to USA Today readers, which I suppose is limited solely to Hotel Dwellers.

DL 1307 (ATL-ORF) yesterday. Two guys in 2A/B were signing a lot of autographs for teenage girls coming aboard. Have no idea who they were, but I'm not a 13 YO girl.

I didn't think of posting here back then, in part because I know Erin Andrews a bit. My wife worked with her dad in Tampa, and I'd met her once or twice, mostly before she was as well known as she is now. Several other F passengers (all male) recognized her and complimented her on her work.

As to the VIP service: Many years ago (pre-9/11) @ ATL I got to ride out to the tarmac w some Atl. Police officers to escort Cheryl Ladd ("Charlie's Angels") off a DL flight, down the stairs to a private car. She was in town for a fundraiser, I handled the PR for it. The next year Richard Thomas ("John Boy Walton") was in for the same fundraiser, we go out to get him off a CO flight, plane is empty. He was patiently waiting in baggage claim, nobody recognized him, no entourage. I told him this was an historical moment, he was on the first flight EVER to arrive at ATL 30 minutes early & get straight to a gate.

This made me laugh as I thought of one of my favorite movies, Stripes. Remember when Bill Murray (Winger) says to his departing girlfriend:
"Tito Puente's gonna be dead, and you're gonna say, 'Oh, I've been listening to him for years, and I think he's fabulous'."
