I chose not to post at the time out of respect for the right reverend’s privacy, but as he has just given the sermon for Harry and Meghan’s wedding and now a global celeb, I freely share it.

I guess the reverend, as a DL360, is in good company with Sky Team as the catholic pope charters entire Alitalia wide bodies.

One of my college classmates, Rev. John I. Jenkins, is a Catholic priest who took a vow of poverty, which all members of the Congregation of Holy Cross (CSC) take. As the President of the University of Notre Dame, he gets something like $50 per week, and he lives in the priests' residence near Sacred Heart Basilica and the Golden Dome. However, he lives on a campus with a replacement value of almost $7 billion, with 27 holes of golf, indoor and outdoor tennis, three indoor swimming pools, fitness centers, and has access to luxury boxes at the football stadium, basketball arena and ice hockey arena, plus access to a private jet parked at SBN four miles from campus. There is nobility in poverty.
I go to a Catholic radio conference near BHM every year. Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) is involved with it; they operate English and Spanish language radio networks as well as the TV channel. One year, Archbishop Aquila of Denver was leaving BHM with a group of us; he was seated in F. I know that executives of EWTN are Delta DMs and PMs.
