Do MQDs from Delta Vacations count only when posted?
 

Hi all, I have a Delta Vacations package stay that will be fully completed on Dec. 19. However, I saw that MQDs can take up to 8-12 weeks to post. Will my Delta Vacations package MQDs count based on when the stay completes (for 2026 status) even if they don’t post by Dec 31? Or do they count for 2027 status if they don’t post until January?

They will always count towards the year the activity took place (checkout date), not the year they post. The same is also true for MQDs from flights (scheduled flight departure date), Amex purchases, etc. If you look at your Skymiles activity, each posting has both a "Activity" date listed under posting and a "Post" date in the details. They do not have to be the same. The default sort in listings is by activity date, but you can change it to post date in the "Sort & Filter" options. Here's an example of a late posting Amex MQD Boost from last year that posted on Jan 3rd, but counted towards 2024 MQDs because of the Dec 31, 2024 activity date which is when the Amex spend actually occurred.

Will a flight on Delta and its partners, earn MQD's if the flight was purchased by a tour operator? I can see the flight in my upcoming trips list, but the Recent activities list does not show upcoming MQD's.

Yes, but you may not earn at the 1:1 rate. It may earn based on distance and fare class. The estimator can’t do the calculation in advance.

I have a trip via Delta vacations package this week for Flight, hotel and activities to LAX-BOS-CDG in order to maintain my DM status for next year..

The estimated MQDs for this purchase on the confirmation page prior to paying was approximately $5200 (5200 MQDs) that could be earned for the trip.

The current 2026 Medallion Status Progress icon in the My Profile section of the Delta Website shows me at $23,144 and only $3365 MQDs pending which i surmise is only for the flight portion.

Does anyone know if the remaining 1835 MQDs for the total Delta Vacation package (Hotel/Activities) MQDs will show up after I have completed the hotel stay/activities?

Seems like the current Medallion Status Progress icon is not counting the Hotel and activities.

Anyone else have this issue in the past where Hotel and activities via Delta vacations is not showing in the "pending" for the Medallion Status Progress icon?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated...

IIRC Delta Vacation spend for hotels/transfers does not show in the pending MQD view.

MQDs from the Delta Stays MQD promotions are not included in pending MQDs either.
