Schedule change and Delta Main Basic ticket
 
Hello! I have a Delta Main Basic award ticket coming up and noticed a schedule change. Chatting with the Delta rep on delta.com and was told the alternative flight I want is “sold out”. I see Delta is still selling award ticket for the flight I want in the Main Classic, but not in Main Basic.

I thought in the past, if there’s a schedule change as long as there’s a seat in the Main cabin, it’s fair game. Is this something new?

Call DL (don't use chat) and ask for the flight(s) you want.

Did you attempt to change the flights youself through the "Change Flights" option on your itin? Usually this will work if there haven't been any other changes to itin.

This usually won’t work for BE. In my experience you need to call in.

great advise! I just called and the agent was able to make the switch for me. Thanks!

it wasn’t a big change… just a little over an hour.

Phone agent was able to rebook me on the flight I wanted.
