Ok looks like systems are coming back up, I can see my trips again in the app and letting me check in.

I think we are so paranoid after so many IT meltdowns over recent years. Was afraid we were facing another Crowdstrike situation.

We know Delta's IT is held together with bailing wire and duct tape.

Make a backup reservation now for tomorrow morning on someone else!!!

Sage advice...I remember having to do this during Crowdstrike.

Interesting that I boarded my flight around 12:30pm today in ATL using iOS Wallet, as the only IT “glitch” I noticed was logging into the Delta WiFi portal after the boarding door closed 15 min latter.

As of 9:30PM ET this evening, I still can't get to seat assignment screens on Delta.com.

It’s currently working for me on the iPhone app at 10:10p for a flight next week.

Unable to change or cancel anything at this time - web or mobile. This system is not available.

I'm seeing the same on the app for my itineraries. When I click "Change Flight" it displays the standard "We're sorry" message about being unable to change the flight online. None of the circumstances listed apply to any of these tickets, and I was browsing changes the other day on the same ones.

Fortunately this was a short event... but still beyond acceptable for a company like this to have multiple major hubs impacted.

Not that this is an excuse, but all of the airlines have these national disruptions. Has DL even acknowledged this one?

nope.
as a solution provider to them, we've heard zilch.

Saw all the gate displays off yesterday in JFK when landing. Had no idea it was more prevalent than that.

Maybe sinc eit didn't take down the entire airline for days, DL felt it not of sufficient level to acknowledge.

Throw Down Your Leavy Screens Jun 11, 2025 4:57 am

Interesting -- DL was having (presumably) separate IT issues on Sunday 6/8 as well. The gate screens in ATL were offline in the afternoon, my originating flight in VLD was showing as on-time even though the plane had not yet arrived and it was past time for it to depart, my (replacement) flight to CLT wasn't even displayed, and the app went schizophrenic trying to deal with my cancelled flight ATL-CLT. It was saying that I needed to rebook while concurrently saying that all flight segments had been flown. This was on top of all of the storms Sunday morning in ATL that just hosed up the entire schedule and almost every flight was delayed at least an hour for the rest of the day.

My ~15:30 ATL-CLT flight was rebooked onto a 21:30 (which became 22:15) flight.
