Error #SFAF037

Anyone else running into this particular error?

It's been this way for a few days now when searching for flights on certain routes - thought it might be an inventory issue as a result of SCS weirdness, but it still hasn't resolved itself. Get the specific error above on the website and a generic error on the app. Have tried multiple browsers, different phones, etc.

Looking at a few possible trips this fall/winter (specifically ANC-LAS, ANC-JAN, and ANC-ECP). Whenever I search any dates on ANC-LAS roundtrip or ANC-JAN roundtrip and select a paid F fare outbound, whenever I go to select the return I notice the outbound changes to "refundable main" and further selection of any return cabin fare, be it F or Y, results in the above error. Happens searching ANC-LAS as well as ANC-JAN, but does not happen on ANC-ECP. This is leading me to think it might be an inventory issue that got screwed up this past SCS? And it also only happens when selecting an F fare on the outbound. Selecting a Y or C+ fare does not result in the error.

Not really ready to book yet, but like to check fares weekly and will pull the trigger once an acceptable (preferably F) fare appears. It appears I could book one-ways without issue, but just more of an annoyance that anything else to not be able to view a roundtrip F fare.

(Note this is different than the common issue of search results returning F with C+ segments due to married segment inventory issues - those will at least allow selection - this issue simply errors out)

I haven’t gotten that error, but the website and iPhone app have been super slow in the last couple of days. The “out of memory” error returned on the app during one search.

I’m guessing it’s related to the storms and all of the cancellations and delays. Or it could just be delta IT.

I was getting an SFAF001 error constantly a couple weeks ago and could not do anything with trying to book flights a couple weeks ago. It was only occurring at home, regardless of what PC or browser I was using, even in private/ingocnito mode. Delta website data handling has a lot of issues, and seems their providers blocks some transactions incorrectly at times as well and breaks things so you get those errors that nobody at DL can help with.

I was having trouble for days checking flight availability/cost without signing in with my FF#. When I would sign in, I could get the info about flights/cost. That seems to be fixed as yesterday I didn't need to put in the FF# to check.

I'm getting this exact error code trying to book an open-jaw TATL flight in W.

I was able to recreate same error. After selecting a non-refundable FC fare for the outbound, it seems to think I actually selected a Refundable Main fare for outbound instead.

Note that Google Flights works just fine for pulling up roundtrip FC fares on these routes on delta.com.

Thanks! I’ve never used google flights to actually proceed to booking something - only used as a search tool. Assuming you can book via the blue button in your screenshot, I’ll give that technique a try if this error persists when I’m ready to book.

Just posting a follow-up that this error finally resolved itself today. I was able to book a roundtrip ANC-LAS trip in F for October without it switching from a non-refundable F fare to a refundable Main fare when choosing the return. Saved a few bucks by booking a slightly less desirable schedule but hoping to use SCS to switch at some point.
