I have a trip to SDQ on Wednesday doubt I will have any issues. But Travel Waivers have started to appear for those flying to the Caribean. Right now St. Lucia has a travel waiver.

I don't know. Some models bring it close to Hispaniola's south shore and your timing isn't good. A Tropical Storm Watch is up for the south coast of the Dominican Republic.

yup just saw that the watches were issued. But looks like it will stay to the south.

Yeah as of right now SDQ will not be affected other than some wind gusts.

I was hoping for a weather waiver so I can head down sooner. But no dice. Hopefully the storm doesn't do anything serious to Jamaica, and Belize which seem to be in the path.

Maybe try again now that it is a category 5 storm.

The storm is passing to the south of the Dominican Republic, no travel waiver, and from what my wife has told me just a low wind and cloudly skies. Rain comes and goes. Nothing serious in the capital, but Barahona near the haitian border has a shelter in place warning but a friend there says not much is happening.

Looks like DL has loaded cancellations for Wednesday for MBJ and KIN.

My wife just sent me this, it isn't raining but sea is angry.

Not sure whether I got some exception after the agent mashed the keyboard enough times or as a DM, but my request to change a July 9 IAH-LGA flight to DFW-LGA was accommodated with no fare difference. ms. kk and I are planning to bail north, and I think my chances of making my work trip are much better ex-DFW. Plus the idea of days of rain and a likely power outage in the summer is a hard pass from my viewpoint.
