Using Apple Pay on Delta.com
 

Have been trying to purchase a ticket and I see the Apple Pay option at Checkout.

I click the icon and it brings up an Apple Pay window on my iMac. I'm used to using Apple Pay on my Mac on those sites which support it.

So I select the card I want to use from my Apple Pay wallet and approve on my iPhone or Apple Watch (I've done it 2 or 3 times) and it pings on my devices like it was a successful transaction.

But the Delta checkout page doesn't update and I've not gotten confirmation emails from Delta. The Amex card I've tried to use isn't showing a pending transaction.

So it's as if the Apple Pay authentication never occurred.


Has anyone been able to use Apple Pay on the DL website?

I guess I could try the app too.

I have on my phone and mac never an issue.

Well it wasn't Apple Pay.

It was a Google Flight fare that didn't match what was in the DL system.

In fact if I searched manually on Delta, the DL fare was over $400 more.

So the DL system didn't want to process it.

I went to AF site and got the lower fare, though on Google Flights, the booking options showed DL booking option was actually about $30 less than the AF booking option, which itself was over $400 less than searching manually on Delta.com.

Does anyone have any issues with Apple pay and Amex in general at brick and mortar stores? I've used other visa's just fine at said locations and none of my Amex's will work at three different POS systems?

Are you certain these stores even accept AmEx? Not everyone does.

I do not have any issues with Apple Pay at any stores that are set up for Apple Pay.

Never had any issues with brick and mortar stores that ACCEPT AMEX with any of my cards stored in either my Phone Digital wallet or Apple Watch Wallet.
