Rules on Pay-With-Miles ticket conversion to eCredit
Hi all, I’m trying to use Skymiles to book a Delta-Marketed, KE-operated flight. However, it is during KE’s peak time, meaning there are no award flights for Skymiles at that time.
Could I book a random ticket using AMEX pay-with-miles, cancel it after 24 hours (which, per DL’s T&C would convert to an eCredit), and then use the eCredit to buy the flight? In essence, would this be a workaround to not being able to use SkyMiles on this blacked-out DL-marketed, KE-operated flight that IS still available to book with cash (and it IS a DL ticket number). |

PWM does not work on non-DL flights.
I would then use the subsequent eCredit to book this DL7XXX flight operated by KE. |

I know it doesn’t. I would buy a random domestic DL flight of the same value. Cancel it after 24 hours to convert it to an eCredit as per the PWM rules.
