I don't care about RDM all that much because SkyMiles are pretty useless. It took years before I found redemptions that provided enough value for me to justify using them. .
There are exceptional cases on using Skymiles at a value of 1.5$ / mile with a 15% discount from AmEx
For example, in November I booked a main cabin one-way MIA - JFK - SFO for 16K miles vs. cash price of $265,
LAX -LAS for 4.9K miles vs. $79
and earlier in 2023 HNL-ATL-SDQ for 30K miles vs $470

It posted. Details. Paid B fare on CI. 968 MQDs. 6,455 base miles. MM balance went up 6,455 miles as well. Good news for all of us looking to up our MM levels I think.

This is very good news. I wish you had bought R, Q, H, or N fares so we'd know with absolute certainty how it'll be credited to DL's MM program.

Just to add a data point (more confirmatory than any real news): AF marketed, AF metal (albeit reissued on 006 stock due to use of a GUC) in paid premium economy from left coast USA to Europe last week earned exact distance for MM purposes, i.e. no bonus for PE, unlike for the outbound flight in late December. I'm glad I reached 2MM in 2023 ... the slog to 3MM (and annual Diamond, which is now otherwise beyond my reach starting next year) will be considerably harder. In marginal cases this will actually nudge me to book regular economy rather than a premium class, and is another reason to downgrade my platinum DL AmEx ... so it's a somewhat curious business decision on their part.

I tend to agree that I am more likely yo now book either J or Y and skip PS. Since a good Y seat is better than PS, especially with the 4 across.

Fare Class MQM bonuses played a big part in my paid upgrade equation. With its elimination, I will definitely avoid premium cabins on flights less than 900 miles. What's the point? Even daytime TATL will make me second guess its value...

Just wondering about the fare codes?

Recently earned 100% flown miles for MM calculation on a cheap CI roundtrip fare as well.

While qualifying for status is a lot harder on non-Core Partners nowadays, at least MM accrual has become much easier, especially on Asian ST carriers who are not KE/MU.

I've been waiting for this CI dp for a while. Now CI is viable whereas last year, that fare code would have earned me 25%!

Seems we have confirmation that DL awards count, and paid partner tickets count. Any data points on partner awards?

And some further speculation... would a Flying Blue award (changed to a Skymiles number at the gate) count toward Delta MM?

Still have 1M+ miles saved up from the consulting years... thinking how to put them to best use.
