Baggage with Latam

I posted this on Latam but that seems to only have a dozen users.

I知 booked on Latam LAX-SCL in business and DL LAS-LAX. I知 trying to determine luggage allowance. I知 a DL Diamond so I can check 3 pieces at 32 kg but I知 confused about return flight. Latam advised me to contact DL (ticket issued on 006 stock) but DL said it was up to Latam on return.

Is it 2 or 3 bags and what weight?

And what about SCL-PUQ in premium economy or whatever their FC is called. Booked next day, not same itinerary.

If LAS-LAX-SCL is on one ticket - since Delta is the first checkin carrier your Delta baggage allowance will apply (with the status). You値l see it when you try to check-in. The baggage calculator would give you 2 @ 70 no status, 3 @ 70 with status (assuming the ticket is D1/LATAM Top)

Returning from PUQ if your first flight is starting with LATAM, you値l have to follow the LATAM baggage policy but you値l get 1 extra with Delta status (Gold and above). You値l have to check their default allowance by whichever class of service you are flying back.

If SCL-PUQ is less than 24 hours, it値l get tagged straight through. However, I don稚 know if you have to pick up and recheck in SCL.

Id stick with lowest baggage allowance if this is a round trip. Unless you plan to bring goods one way but not on the way back.

Same as the LA Business allowance. (FYI, LA doesn't have a domestic lounge network, but SCL and PUQ have Priority Pass-affiliated lounges.) Expect 23kg allowance + extra bag due to DL status.

They do have an SCL lounge. https://www.latamairlines.com/us/en/...irport-lounges

Flew and found thid

Domestic Latam allows 3 bags at 23 kg for elites. International return was 3 at 32 kg because it was DL purchased, Latam metal and to/from USA. Normally 3 at 23 kg.

Curiously, domestic flights in Chile have no limit on liquids, one can bring a 1/2 liter of water, soda in carry-on.
