Hub Cobranded Credit Card Hawkers

I'm interested if the cobranded credit card hawkers have updated their marketing pitch after the 9/14/23 changes, as the AmEx website has updated the Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card benefit terms. I don't travel again until next week, as I informed ATL and LGA hawkers last month that changes were coming regarding SkyClub lounge access and they looked at me like a deer in headlight.

Downgraded the card his morning. When I was chatting with the Amex agent, they asked if I was sure I wanted to lose "unlimited SkyClub visits," lol

That is the exact reason I wont be paying that hefty fee going forward since you are only allowed 10 visits per year. No longer worth it! Better to have the Amex Platinum card as it offers far more lounges than Delta does with the Reserve card. Good luck to Delta!

I don't understand why people are doing this so quickly. Aren't most people pretty close to the elite status they plan to have for 2024? Why waste the benefits of the status in 2024 just because you won't have the status in 2025? I'm hoping for some 2024H2 status match offers from AA/UA.

I have the Amex Plat too and yeah, that's better for me too because of Centurion access at my home airport.

Assuming I'm still mainly flying DL by 2025, I'll see what they're charging for an individual membership (anyone want to bet it'll be a significant increase?) and decide whether I want the Reserve or not at that point. Mainly downgraded for now to protest the changes. Now, if the earnings on MQD were a tad more generous than 10:1, I'd reconsider...
