Upgrade app notification
 

Finally! When I got upgraded at the gate today the app notified me. I assume this applies to any seating change.

Samesies. I’ve been getting these for years. Even for C+.

Interestingly, passbook boarding passes only update about 20% of the time though. 😢

did you purchase a seat upgrade?

I’m with OP here. I’ve never gotten a notification that my seat had changed when an upgrade cleared. The only way I found out was by looking at the upgrade list or hearing my name called. Usually the wallet BP never updates either, causing the printer to spit out the little slip with the new seat assignment.

Note I am referring to gate-cleared upgrades, not those that clear after booking or in the window.

A few times the night before a flight I have gotten a seat assignment change notification if an aircraft type changed (particularly if a 767 was involved). But nothing related to an upgrade at the gate.

No. Upgrade by Gate Agent. I have always gotten notifications for advance upgrades but never for gate upgrades until today.
