Delta eCredits expiring, transferrable?

I had to cancel some flights during the pandemics, and has quite a bit of eCredits that is expiring end of year. Are they transferable to family members?

Also wondering if I can use it for work trips and then can expense report it...Has anyone seen the flight receipt, does it indicate the source of funds are eCredits?

Best,

William

They are not transferrable and receipt will show use of ecredits. If you used personal funds to pay for the original tickets your employer should have no issue with reimbursing you?

Thanks. They "should" but you know the fun of expense reporting at big companies.

Either that, or I go on a mileage run :-)

This thread has some mixed reports of eCredits being extended through booking other flights. Doesn’t seem consistent, but might be worth a shot.

Tricks to extend eCredits

Follow up question, can OP buy a refundable ticket with the credit and then cancel the ticket and get their money back? Is that possible?

No, it would refund to original form of payment for that flight, the eCredit.
Using the eCredit for business travel and requesting reimbursement would work at my company. They didn't blink an eye when I submitted my Uber receipt for my trip last week that had my Uber Cash on it.

Yeah, the airlines are really not very bright and never really thought about that. Right

I am sorry but not everyone is all knowing as you. If I knew the answer to every single question, I wouldn't be asking.
