Buy Delta Gift Cards with Miles?
Have been checking website on this for several months. It says this feature is "currently under maintenance." Is that it? Are they not going to allow use of SM to purchase gift cards any longer? Thoughts? Did I miss some announcement on this?

I would guess issue is twofold. 1)dilutes AMEX benefit and 2)most likely has more to do with fraud prevention.

Yeah, given the ridiculous award miles DL is asking for these days, I'd rather just cash out my DL miles, even at the .01 cpm, to have that amount in gift cards, so I could cancel my DL Amex. Annual fee just is not worth it, given the inability to use reasonable numbers of miles for awards, or to get any use out of the companion ticket these days.
