I"ve seen 100+ SFO/ATL. And I'm sure others have seen numbers far higher.

This is what happens when you roll over status for two years. Suddenly, everyone disappointed that they're not upgraded with their higher status.

Is the thought that when this current cycle "washes out" and the status levels reset on Feb 1(i think that's the date) that this will not be the case moving forward? By this i mean 2022 was the year you had to actually re qualify the old-fashioned way to hit whatever status you it for 2023. I hit diamond by exceeding MQD, MQM and MQS and am assuming those that were status extended/granted will drop back to whatever they hit, opening the top of the list a little more.

Just curious.

I'm usually first with no seats as a DM.

Incidentally, I'm usually first with no seats on UA as a Silver.

Ha!

this may be the first year in a while of having to earn status again but with 2 years of full MQM rollovers still factoring in, all people had to do is hit the MQD waiver with the Delta Amex and instant status without flying a mile. I dont expect the drop off to happen until next year and therell still be some of us hanging around the following year due to the regular excess MQM rollover still helping out.

You are correct for PM. Not for DM. MQDs never rolled over and most can easily hit $25k spend but hitting $250k is impossible for most people.
